Math Education in Intercultural Contexts: a logical-mathematical interpretation for duality Kaingang Kamé-Kairu

Abstract: The aim of this paper is to present the results research carried out in a Mathematics and Science training program for indigenous teachers Kaingang ethnic group by Unochapecó municipality Chapecó, Santa Catarina, Brazil. Based on paradigm ethno mathematics, one objectives look relations between traditional thinking classical mathematics. We propose an analogy logical-mathematical binary calculation systems thought system expressed its social organization supported two opposite complementary dual categories: Kamé-Kairu.
